This has been a stressful but great week for me.
On Saturday’s training, I completed 8 miles. I didn’t run as much of it as I had hoped to, but this week’s long run is also 8 miles, so I’m hoping to improve on last week’s time. But yesterday, I ran two full miles with no walking, which may sound like nothing to you, but I am not a runner, so I was very happy with myself. I’m pretty sure I could finish a 5K now running the whole thing, so that’s pretty awesome.
And then Friday night, the Comedy Fights Cancer fundraiser will finally be here! It’s going down Friday, April 25, at The Copper Still Bar in Koreatown. Tickets are a suggested $10 at the door, and I am so stoked about the amazing comedians and storytellers on the lineup. If you’re in LA, please check it out! This is to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the non-profit organization I’m running for by training with the their Team in Training program for my upcoming half-marathon. Plus, there will be amazing raffle prizes from LA businesses like Milk Jar Cookies, Skylight Books, LA Sports Net, The Raven Spa, Bling Circus, and more!
I’ve also booked two upcoming storytelling shows that I’ll keep you posted about! It’s been a big week and it’s only going to get bigger. Let’s get it, LA!
